Dress for Success Drop-off Site

The mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. At Cups & Cones, we are supporting this charity by providing a drop off site for clothing and attire.

A Home For Art Classes Begin This Week

Art and Ceramics classes begin on Tuesday, January 13th with Toddler classes at 10:00am and Adult Ceramics classes Tuesday evening at 6:00 - 8:00.

Saturday Classes are schedules as follows:

Toddler Art Time for Age Group 3-5
10:00 - 10:45 for a 4 week session begining January 17th

Group Clay Works Part 1
12:00 - 1:00 for a 4 week session begining January 17th

Art Classes at Cups & Cones

A Home for Art is offering Saturday classes at Cups & Cones beginning September 20th. With both a morning session (11:00-12:00) and afternoon session (2:00-3:00), group classes will focus on ages 5-9 in the following subject areas:

Concert in the Park - Town Square Park

Steiner Ranch will be hosting two Concerts in the Park this summer at the Towne Square Fields. Local restaurants will be on hand offering food and beverages for sale at a nominal price. The event will be open beginning at 5:00pm with inflatables, a magician and face painting for the kids with Live music starting at 7:00pm.

-Sunday, July 27th~~With lead vocals delivered by Steiner resident David Dyke, this group offers a rock play list that includes music from the 80s to today. The band has earned a loyal following throughout the area as well as recognition by the Austin Chronicle as one of the top five cover bands of 2007.

-Saturday, August 23rd~~Another Steiner resident who blends jazz, pop and blues into an indie style all her own. Alyse has played many local venues and has also been involved in this years SXSW concerts. She also had an extensive spring tour that took her band from coast-to-coast.

All are welcome to come out and have a great time!

Guitar Hero Contest

On Saturday, July 19th, the Guitar hero contest schedule will be as follows:

8 and under -- 2:00 - 4:00

8 to 13 -- 4:00 - 6:00

13 - 16 -- 6:00 - 8:00

16 and up -- 8:00 - 10:00

Each group will play the same song for each heat and the winner will be chosen based upon points. More details will be given at event time.

Come and join this non-profit organization providing hairpieces for financially disadvantaged children with medical hair loss. It's fun and easy to join!

Register for the Spanish Train

The Mother and Child 50-minute weekly workshop's goal is to expose children and parents to as much Spanish as possible, learning new songs and games in an enjoyable setting. Your child will acquire the foundations of the Spanish language through storytelling, songs, movement and dance, crafts, play-time, and other fun and engaging activities and you will also have fun while learning Spanish with your child!! Weather permitting, during many of the sessions we'll have outdoor activities.

In case you have not been paying attention, the web site is changing almost daily. We are rapidly evolving it so that it meets our needs and the needs of our patrons. Some of the new features include:

• We are proud of the products that we serve to our friends and we are proud of the people that provide us with our products. So we have a page dedicated to those partners.
